The Global Executive Director and the Management Committee administer GCVSI on behalf of the Executive Board and report back to the board bi-annually. The Executive Board does in particular
• The Executive Board approves the annual strategic implementation plan including budgetary approvals meanwhile the Global Executive Directors and its management committee determine policies, strategies, and integrated work programs for the organization and forward the same to the Executive Board for approval;
• The Executive Board Members review, and send to the General Assembly for approval and dissemination of position statements that clarify and promote the policies of GCVSI;

• It reviews and approves an integrated Implementation Work Plan;
• It considers and approves annual accounts, provisional budgets, financial proposals, and financial reports on past and future activities. It approves the appointments of the members of the Management Committee of Internal Control and receives the CIC report on financial and staff governance, as well as on risk management from the Global Executive Director;
• It reviews all Byelaws and forwards them to the General Assembly during Annual General Meetings for approval and amendment as laid down in Article 10, and onward transmission to the Government departments for filing;
• It votes on urgent measures as forwarded by the Management Committee;
• It is empowered to terminate the membership of any member who brings GCVSI into disrepute.
Tenure of Elected Officers
• The positions of the Board President, and Vice shall be occupied through an election and can be contested by any member of the Board as many times as they so wish, except they fall short of the requirements of the screening committee, as provided in the electoral guidelines.
• Elections shall be held after every four (4) years.
• The position of the President and Vice President shall only be occupied by members who truly understand the mission and vision of the organization.
• Non pioneer members shall be financial members for at least three conservative (3) years to be eligible for an election into the office of the President or Vice President respectively.
Screening Committee
A screening committee shall be set up three (3) months to the election date, and their duties are as follows;
a) Screen all the aspiring contestants.
b) Verify their financial obligations to the organization.
c) Conducts interview of the intending contestants to ensure their vision aligns with that of the Organization.
d) Conducts background checks from relevant authorities.
e) May reject any aspirant whose vision does not align with GCVSI’s vision and mission.
