External to the GCVSI’s structure itself, there are varieties of opportunities for the organization to collaborate strategically in the international arena, as GCVSI could be reached through our different communication outlets which include emails, social media outlets like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.

We only share membership information with our Saver providing Company with whom we signed a Data Processing Agreement protecting our members from any abusive uses. Personal data is processed for the strict purpose of distributing GCVSI’s official journal, Health Promotion and Disease Prevention.
We will not sell, rent, loan, trade or lease any personal information collected online or offline.

Where and for how long does GCVSI keep personal data?
We digitally store our data in our content management system, which is physically located in the USA.
We use MailChimp as our marketing automation platform. Only your email will be transferred to Mailchimp for processing by their Privacy Policy (link is external) and Terms (link is external).
If you become a member or apply for a volunteering position, we will keep your data for life until you make a formal request for the removal of your membership or volunteering information. GCVSI may also decide to collect some data in an aggregated form over a longer period to evaluate and adjust its activities (e.g. website visitors, newsletter opening track record). This data will be stored for life.
For security, both our website and content management system have security technologies and measures, which are periodically reviewed and updated if necessary.
