Accreditation/Programs
The GCVSI has achieved a full consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Affairs Commission UN ECOSOC and is equally accredited with the United Nations Open-Ended Working Group on Ageing (UNOEWGA) under the office of the UN General Assembly president.
In 2020, GCVSI was granted a Special Consultative Status at the United Nations Economic and Social Affairs Commission.
GCVSI was granted approval into the Google for Nonprofit Grant Services, with access to all Google platforms for improved visibility and program promotion to the tune of $US10,000.00 per month worth of ads is giving to our organization at no cost.
GCVSI was equally approved for Microsoft ads (Bing with Points)
In 2022, GCVSI was appointed into the National Advocacy Sterring Group of the Global Alliance for the Rights of Older People (GAROP)
GCVSI is a member of the Global Alliance for the Rights of Older People (GAROP).
GCVSI is developing an accreditation scheme that promotes quality assurance, competence, and mobility in Health and social inclusion (UHC) attainment, promotion, practice, education, and training.
1) From 2024 – 2030, GCVSI plans to encourage the uptake of the Universal Health Coverage in underserved Communities amongst low-income families with the establishment Community Resource Centers (CRC) for the geriatric population, to improve access to medications for chronically ill Older Patients.
2) Plans are on the way to establish mobile food banks in underserved communities under GCVSI; zero hunger and poverty program.
3) Capacity building training and development of Community Health Workers (CHW) in underserved communities to anchor the implementation of its Universal Health Coverage agenda in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
4) GCVSI will commit to improving clean drinking water and promoting (WASH) in disadvantaged communities especially in humanitarian or disaster-prone areas. Measures such as provision of water treatment devices, chemicals like chlorine for water purifications and construction of pipe borne water facilities.
