GCVSI uses advocacy as a solid instrument to influence government policies and community actions to achieve set objectives. Advocacy is a veritable strategy to improve health and social services outcomes by holding the government and community leaders to account. Advocacy has prompted a lot of collaboration and partnerships with traditional and religious leaders with multiplying influences on community members to follow through on GCVSI’s health and social inclusion activities. GCVSI has been involved in several advocacy processes, including multi-level, multi-sectoral, and inter-disciplinary stakeholder engagement capable of sweeping through the old ways of doing things to a more pragmatic and productive way that will protect the rights of our focused groups.
GCVSI takes its advocacy matrix scale very seriously for measuring and tracking advocacy progress.
